Have you ever asked yourself why people especially students are prone to cases like these: Cellular phones was been snatched from them along their way home at night, come even experienced physical snatches due to their defending stunts or it could be as simple as they left it in one table at the canteen during break or somewhere else.

Nowadays, victims of scenarios like these increases. Young, adult, ladies, gentlemen, professional and non-professional individuals can be considered as a victim of the same situation particularly students at their very young age.

Now here are some tips for you to be reminded always wherever you are may it be in school, office, public places like markets malls and any other places, just remember these tips below:

  1. Don’t be so stupid. You’ll never know when danger is coming. So you better watch out for your valuables and keep your eyes wide open around your surroundings.
  2. Never entertain a stranger. Remember the quote your parents once told you “Don’t talk to strangers?” It’s actually the same with this tip. Don’t easily trust people in your surroundings because you can never tell who’s bad and who’s not.
  3. Make sure your attire is appropriate to the place where you’re heading to. Don’t try to show off when you’re going to a public place, because you may attract snatchers and other crime suspects when you’re wearing fancy accessories and eye catching outfits.
  4. As much as possible, try not to use earphones when you’re in a busy place for you to stay alert and present in your environment. Remember the Tip no. 1! If you don’t want to something bad to happen, keep in mind your valuables and don’t let anybody catch your attention that might lead you to forget your things.
  5. When you’re eating in a fast food chain or somewhere else, do not put your valuables on the top of the table, then put your bag in your lap. It’s better to keep an eye on your things than to place it on the table unsupervised.
  6. When you’re in a busy place, walk smart and fast. There’s no reason for you to slow down when you’re in a busy place because you may encounter crime and distressed in just a snap in these kinds of places.
  7. When lost, ask only the police, guards or employee inside an establishment where you are near. It is a standard procedure to ask and be guided with authorities when you’re unfamiliar into places rather than risking the chance to get lost.
  8. Keep your things inside your bag except for your money and cellular mobiles, instead put them inside your pocket. It is safe to place your money in your pockets because you can use them in case of emergency.
  9. Avoid going home late. During late evening hours is the most dangerous time of the day because the crime is most abundant during this time. So don’t go home late and if you’re going home late, find a companion that you can come home with.
  10. When you’re in danger, try to fight and defend yourself but never risk you life. When you can fight for yourself do it but never attempt to fight with an armed men.
