August 5 – the Student Leadership Office (SLO) accredited 24 student organizations during the an-nual Achiever’s Day and Induction Ceremony, at the Gymnasium.

The ceremony started with a doxology by the SDCA Tagintinig, a non-academic organization that acts as one of the school’s chorales, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the SDCA Hymn by the School’s Grand Choral. The Director of the Department of Students’ Affairs and Services (DSAS), Mr. Jonathan V. Sta. Ana, gave the welcome remarks.

Central College Student Council (CCSC) President Ms. Babylei M. Bello introduced the guest speaker Dr. Mary Nellie T. Roa, Dean of the School of Health Science Professions (SHSP), who talked about leadership with a purpose. The inspirational message was followed by the Awarding of Certificates of Accreditation to non-academic Organizations: The Peer Facilitators Club, Working Hands, Circle of Dominican Achievers, Extreme Generation, Dominican CERT, Tagintinig and Campus Earth Warrior were all awarded certificates by Mr. Melbert Animas, School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) representative, while the awarding of Institutional Awards was presented by Ms. Jayzel V. Alam, the School of Arts, Science and Education (SASE) representative.

The next part of the ceremony was a song number performed by Circle of Dominican Achievers president, Ms. Sarah Montemayor. Mr. Angelito T. Buan, representative of the School of Business and Computer Studies (SBCS), distributed Certificates of Accreditations to the Global Educators Guild, Psychology Society, SAMASKOM, Young Executive Society, Association of Computer Talents and Specialists, Red Concept, Junior Professional Institute of Accountancy, SHSP Student Assembly, Nursing Student Council, SDCART Society, Laboratorium  Deuces, REACH Physical Therapy, Alliance of Future Hospitality Managemers, Junior Travellers and Junior Travelers and Tourism Council.

Institutional Organizations such as The Gateway Group of Publications and the Central College Student Council (CCSC) were awarded certificates by Ms. May G. Balsomo, SHSP Representative, followed by  the giving of Academic awards for Dean’s and the giving of Certificates of Election to iVote 2013 winners. Mr. Sta Ana gave the closing remarks, concluding the program. Ms. Maria Hessa C. Saeki, who was recently crowned as Ms. ISAA 2013 was the Master of Ceremony.
