“Matagal nang merong St. Dominic, pero sa loob ng sampung taon, wala pang nakakapag-isip ng organization na ganito,” said adviser Mr. Winterson C. Ambion during a speech at the first Youth Fellowship of Christian youth organization Extreme Generation (EG), held July 27 at the Studio Theater.

As the fellowship started Mr. John Paler, EG’s External Adviser, said “Sa Extreme Generation, nagbi-build kami ng mga leaders… Godly leaders.” This was followed by welcome remarks thru video-recorded speech by Mr. Jonathan V. Sta. Ana, Director of the Department of Student Affairs and Services (DSAS), saying “Sa kabila ng ating pagiging magaling, dapat tayo maging mabuti.”

Former EG President Ms. Claudine Descatamiento discussed “Love in Action”, the event’s theme, with a presentation revolving around the importance of God and how He had saved mankind. A sharing exercise for those in attendance followed, facilitated by EG external advisers John Paler and Joshua Cera.

Special Guest Ruben Hapalla of the Jesus the Great Shepherd International Fellowship spoke about how a leader was not above the word of the Lord. This was followed by a closing prayer, and the conclusion of the event with an awarding of certificates to attendees.

EG President Daniel Valerio III,  BSPSY2-A, mentioned that, “Unang priority ng Extreme Generation talaga, magte-train kami ng mga leader… kasi kailangan natin talaga ng mga god-centered leaders.”

Mr. Ambion said that “According sa mga officers… lalabas kami at gagawa ng outreach,” bearing the organization’s plans to carry out community outreach programs under the leadership of the DSAS.
