“Honest heart produce honest actions,” – Brigham Young

In a world where almost all people are distraught by the world’s anxiety that sometimes they forgot to think of others. There are still ones who have a heart that is undoubtedly have the courage to make a difference.

Alejandro Real, an epitome of a man with honest service. Mr. Real is an employee of Villaserna Maintenance Service Corporation. He is currently assigned to St. Dominic College of Asia as auxiliary staff. This employee showed honesty when he returned a Blackberry phone to the Lost and Found section of SDCA last March 2013. He surrendered the phone without any hesitation in the authority.

It was identified that the phone belongs to a student of the school, Mrs. Catherine Copia, a major of Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  According to Mrs. Copia “Buti nalang kamo kinuha nung nagmemaintenance sa may aircon tapos dun ko kinuha sa [DSAS].” The phone was left at one of the classrooms in the basement floor of SDCA’s building. It is a valuable and sentimental gift from her husband.

It took a long time since she was able to realize that her phone was missing and when she came back to look, she was shocked that her Blackberry phone was gone. The phone was found by Mr. Real, charging at the room GD 101, and his utmost intention is to return it to its rightful owner.

Mr. Real felt gratified with Mrs. Copia’s sincere and heartwarming gratefulness towards him and according to him, “Masaya ako siyempre kasi nag-thank you sa akin yung may-ari. Kasi yung pagkaka-thank you niya talagang naramdaman ko kaya masaya ako.”
“Ang ibang tao, pag may nakitang cellphone, hindi na ibinabalik. Pwede naman niya i-deny pero matapat talaga siya,” as Mrs. Copia stated for Mr. Real’s courage not just to thank him but also to share Mr. Real’s  honesty.

It was rare to find someone whom you can count on. Mr. Real is indeed one of them. He might not be grossing high and not really a professional but he did the right thing to do and that’s all that matters most.
