Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

Physically fit body, beauty and brains, are the quality that measures beauty that stands out among others. 

 School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) established a pageant to promote healthy living among the students of St. Dominic College of Asia. The pageant was entitled “Mr. and Ms. Fit” participated by the selected Tourism and Hospitality Management students. Each candidate under-went series of rehearsals, photo shoots and dry-runs of their talents in preparation for the said pageant.

July 15, the day of the pageant; the place was crowded with audience who are anticipated to witness the event. As the event started, audience shouted for their favorite candidates. The candidates gracefully ramp the school uniform and turned up the heat when they presented the casual wear.

During the talent portion, the candidates engaged their talent in singing, dancing, playing the guitar, and acting.  A group led by selected HM/TM students gave a KPOP-themed intermission number, before the contestants changed into their stunning final outfits. 

John Robert Villanueva, a third year BSHM student, won as Mr. Fit and also received the award for the Best in Uniform category. On other hand, Ms. Fit was a first year BSTM student, Cassandra Alpuerto, who also took the People’s choice award. The winners alongside with judges enjoyed their victorious night as they captured the moment.
