There’s this unique word which everyone fears,
It was “change”, the only constant in this world.
Nobody wants it and nobody controls it,
For it comes through when you’re not prepared.
Why would things need to change if it was working well?
To make a difference and to ameliorate, I guess.
Whatever it is, it was really surprising,
Everything changes suddenly, every day.
Change is fearsome, oh yes it is!
Especially if we are happy with things as is.
We don’t want a difference because we’re enjoying it?
Without thinking what will be if something changes.
We’ll always be shy, if we don’t try confidence,
We’ll always be bullied, if we don’t learn to fight,
We’ll be forever ignorant, if we don’t want to study,
We’ll be forever good, if we don’t change for the better.
Change is a thing we can’t avoid,
We just have to accept it and abide with it.
Go with the flow and remember the lessons it brings,
And find a new different person we never know existed.
